Nakama Glamping Eco Resort

Nakama Glamping

It’s interesting to know that the word “Nakama” hasn’t a Spanish or Quechua origin. It is actually of Japanese origin, and it means “comrade” or “friend”. The owners said that this word has the closest meaning to their “glamping idea”, as they always wanted to do a familiar lodge as a family. Nakama Glamping is a peaceful and beautiful retreat in the heart of Cajamarca City, located 800 kilometers from Lima.

The Cabins

Each of the 7 a-frame cabins are named based on the “chakras”, according to the owner. 4 of them are for couples, equipped for the enjoyment of couples. The other 3 cabins are familiar, have 3 floors, they may hold up to 6 people, and the biggest one has a kitchen.

The reason why the cabins have an a-frame shape is because of the strong winds and the heavy rains present in Cajamarca. So, the cabins' triangular form contributes that guests don’t feel the bad time outside. The cabins are located more than 3000 thousand meters above sea level, but you can believe us when we tell you that the cabins’ inside feels warm, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. It feels like you’re almost touching the sky at such a great height.

Amenities

The lodge offers a 24-hour front desk service, laundry facilities, and a luggage store, you’ll have wifi available, free parking, and a delicious breakfast from 6 to 8 am. In the common area, you’ll have a kitchen, a grill, and a firewood area. You can ask for an airport shuttle, although it has an extra cost.

Activities

Hike: Nakama Camping offers hiking activities, thanks to the beautiful location that the cabins are in. Hikers often return by bicycle. This is one of the best ways to engage in outdoor activities and enjoy nature.

Yoga: The owner said that she and her family enjoy doing morning yoga with her family, so she encourages her clients to try to do yoga outside their cabins, just when the rays of the sun hit.

Taking Pictures: The picturesque scenery is suitable for taking pictures for you, your partner, or your family. Keep in mind that Nakama Glamping is pet-friendly, so you can take lots of pictures with your furry little one.
