Gocta Andes Lodge Chachapoyas

Gocta Andes Lodge Chachapoyas

Chachapoyas area is filled with culture and ancient traditions that house this wonderful retreat between the Andes mountain region and the Peruvian rainforest. This city boasts of housing pre-Inca cultures, archaeological sites, and mysteries. However, it houses too one of the highest waterfalls in the world, such it is Gocta

Near this wonderful natural attraction, you’ll find Gocta Andes Lodge. Hear the sound of bustling water hitting the rocks, breathe fresh and pure air, and have the most spectacular views of the falls staying at Gocta Andes Lodge.

Gocta Andes Lodge is located outside of Cocachimba town, about 42 kilometers from the Chachapoyas province position. The Gocta Andes Lodge is close to several natural and cultural sights worth seeing, including the Gocta waterfalls, Kuelap, Leymebamba, and Karajia.

Services and Amenities

Gocta Lodge has sixteen rooms overall, including two suites, and each one has a balcony or terrace. Matrimonial, twin, triple, and suits are available, they are all very well-positioned to see the falls. We guarantee you may rest completely since there is peace all around them. There's a swimming pool and roomy terraces outside where you can lounge and take in the amazing views.

Mosquitoes: Although mosquitoes are rare at night in Gocta, at the front desk, there are electronic repellents accessible if you happen to notice their presence periodically. Biting mosquitoes can happen throughout the day at any time of the year, so it's best to wear long sleeves and slacks or apply repellent (which is available for purchase at the front desk).

First Aids: There's first aid equipment at the lodge. Medication is something we are unable to offer, though. Adjacent to the Cocachimba Community Association office, there is a medical station operating Monday through Saturday, and there’s a pharmacy that's also accessible. The health center is in Pedro Ruíz, which is 23 km away, and a hospital with more comprehensive care in Chachapoyas, which is 45 km away.

Restaurant: Gocta Lodge's menu combines world cuisine with dishes from the Chachapoyan Andes and the best of  Peruvian cuisine. The lodge uses organic natural and local products, such as coffee, plantain, cheese, fish, etc. The lodge has available food for vegans and vegetarians as well, you can contact the restaurant staff if you have any inquiries about the ingredients of a certain dish.

Transfer: The lodge offers air-conditioned, modern, and cozy cars for transfer to Chachapoyas, Jaén, and other locations, drivers are very familiar with local routes, and the private rental of this service is also an option. It is recommended that you book your reservation at least 24 hours ahead of time. We don't recommend motorcars, or motorcycle taxis,  for use on roads outside the city.

Nectar Hummingbird and more: Children and people of all ages can participate in making nectar for the hummingbirds, which are often seen around the area. The lodge also has alpacas, you can feed them with the staff, or you can see how the organic garden works.

Tours

The fortified Kuealp City is a must when in Chachapoyas, the landscape from there is breathtaking. Knowing more about Revash, Great Vilaya, and Karajia is priceless: These archaeological places are filled with history and legends. We can say that the cherry on the cake is the Gocta waterfalls, one of the highest falls in the world.
