Viagens Machu Picchu works under the license of a travel agency, we organize experiences and travel packages for tourists around the world. However, we also have special excursions organized by our professional guides in some cities of Peru, these are exclusively available for Viagens Machu Picchu passengers only.


1. Do you arrange commercial and international flights?

At the moment, we do not arrange international or commercial flights. However, we will help you organize your trip and flight schedules before traveling abroad. Make sure to contact our team and get personalized assistance for planning your trip.

2. Is transport included in your travel packages?

Yes, transport is included in our travel packages. For more details, check our package section or contact our travel assistants.

3. Is there a luggage limit?

No, there is no luggage limit for our transport options. However, while purchasing your plane ticket, make sure to know what are the restrictions of the airlines you’ll be traveling with.

4. Do you organize private road trips through Peru?

Yes, we do organize private road trips through Peru. It is worth mentioning that the price range may be significantly more expensive for a 3-passenger or less package. However, we do recommend this option for larger groups since the total amount could barely change.

5. Do you offer family trips?

7. Do you offer private tours?

8. Do you offer travel insurance services?

Currently, we are not offering travel insurance services, but we do advise you to purchase a travel insurance plan before traveling abroad. Sometimes we tend to confuse the actual purpose of travel insurance since it not only covers medical emergencies but also trip cancellations, baggage loss and delays, stolen documents and credit cards, medical repatriation, and more according to your needs.

9. How do I book a travel package?

Booking a travel package is as easy as requesting a quote on any of our options. Once you’ve filled in your details, one of our travel assistants will get in touch with you. If you still have no idea of what you’d like to do during your stay in Peru, don’t worry, we are here to help you.

10. How far in advance should I book my trip?

We usually recommend booking your trip at least 2-3 months in advance, especially if you’re planning on a long stay in Peru. Viagens Machu Picchu works with 3 to 5-star hotels and most of them request booking weeks in advance, as well as tours, train rides, transportation options, and other services.

During Your Trip

1. Can I book tours during my trip?

Yes, if you decide on any other excursion during your trip, you can always contact us and we’ll try our best to fulfill your requests. However, it is worth mentioning that extra tours booked at the very last minute are subject to availability.

2. Can I extend my travel package during my trip?

Yes, remember that we are only a phone call away to help you with any inquiry you may have. However, this will be up to the flexibility of your plane ticket, so we encourage you to confirm with your airline first in order to change departure dates. Likewise, make sure to not overstay your established time in Peru, otherwise, you’ll have to pay an additional fee to the Peruvian Migration Office.

3. Are there age restrictions for your trips?

No, there is no age limit for our trip. However, we do require a travel permit if a child is traveling with one parent, relative, or representative.

4. What if I need to contact Viagens Machu Picchu during my trip?

From day one, you’ll be assigned a travel agent. Afterward, one day before your trip, one of our operation staff will contact you to confirm your assistance. Therefore, you’ll have two emergency contacts, email addresses, and office phone numbers to contact us anytime during your trip.

5. What happens in an emergency during my trip through Peru?

Our team is highly capacitated to assist you in any eventuality. Likewise, you will have our contact numbers, address, and email to contact us in case of any emergency. Our team will be at your disposal 24/7.


1. Is Viagens Machu Picchu Financially Secure?

Viagens Machu Picchu started in 2014 as a travel agency looking to promote tourism in Peru to the Brazilian market. Nowadays, we have helped over 40,000 passengers to visit our authentic country. We are working with a travel operator license under RUC No. 20564307841. Viagens Machu Picchu has all the requirements that allow us to be a travel agency in Peru with a total guarantee for our clients.

2. Where does my money go?

Once we’ve received your deposit, your money goes to our bank account in Peru. This payment allows us to book your accommodation, tours, transport, and other services included in your travel package.

3. How Secure are my credit card details?

Currently, we accept online payments through Niubiz (VisaNET globalized platform) and PayPal, which we consider are the most effective and safe platforms on the internet. For example, Niubiz counts with an anti-fraud tool called Decision Manager by Cybersource and it is certified in PCI DSS, which guarantees the protection, integrity, and confidentiality of all data.

Likewise, Paypal is also PCI DSS compliant and doesn’t share any credit card or bank account details with the receiver or seller. Therefore, your payment methods are entirely secure through these online platforms.

It is worth mentioning that some fees may apply to each transaction, however, you won’t have to pay for these since we assume all the extra costs.

Changes & Cancellations

1. If a tour is canceled due to weather conditions, do I get a refund?

Tour cancellations due to bad weather conditions have no refund, as they are factors beyond our control. However, we’d like to ensure the integrity of our passengers by acknowledging that some other situations may be taken into account. Therefore, if having any inconvenience, make sure to contact your travel agent.

2. Can I change the starting date of my travel package?

Yes, you can change the starting date of your travel package. However, an administrative fee between 10% and 50% of the total value of the package will be charged, depending on the proximity to the original date of your trip (this is subject to availability and supplier policies).

3. Can I cancel my trip?

Yes, you can cancel your trip. However, there are certain regulations binded to your refund options. Viagens Machu Picchu will only refund a certain amount according to the following conditions:

- Up to 50 days before the starting date, no penalty will be applied and the full value will be refunded to your bank account.
- Up to 30 days before the starting date, there will be a 10% fine of the total value of the package.
- Up to 20 days before the starting date, there will be a 50% fine of the total value of the package.
- Up to 10 days before the starting date, there will be an 80% fine of the total value of the package.
- For cancellations made less than 7 days before the starting date, the total value of the package will be withheld.

Important Note: Machu Picchu Travel will have up to 50 days to refund the money to the passenger, according to the aforementioned conditions, counted from the date of cancellation of the trip.

4. What happens if I can't make it to my trip on the last minute?

Unfortunately, this is beyond our control, which means you won’t be eligible for a refund of your trip. However, if you have hired a travel insurance plan with cancellation coverage, they may help according to your situation and the insurance policies.
