Yes, we know, there are so many things to do in Cusco that sometimes the itinerary may fall short, and as if it wasn’t enough the city also provides everything for a fun night out. It may sound that we’re complaining about the city, but instead we are highlighting the fact that there is never enough time while you’re on vacation.
Whether you’re the party traveler type or just want to enjoy a chilly evening listening to good live music with a glass of wine, then Cusco is certainly the destination for you. In addition to the natural wonders and historical attractions, there’s another side of Cusco that you may not know of.

To start, remember that you will be in a high altitude location, so drinking alcohol can bring up or worsen the symptoms of altitude sickness, very common in those who are not used to such conditions. So, take it easy and always stay hydrated.
To have a peaceful night, do not take valuables to these places and anything you bring, always keep them close by. Petty thefts can happen in busier environments without your noticing, so keep your attention redoubled.
To get around, avoid walking alone through the streets of Cusco, especially at late hours of the night. Choose to use safe transport, such as official taxis. In case of any doubt, contact your travel agency and ask for information and tips.
