Arrival in Lima and Connection to Trujillo
Please plan to arrive at the airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure to ensure a smooth boarding process. After landing in Lima, you will immediately connect with your domestic flight to Trujillo. Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to assist you with the transfer to your hotel and check-in. You will also receive a detailed briefing with useful information about the tours and activities planned for the coming days.
The remainder of the day is free for you to relax at the hotel or begin discovering the city at your own pace.

Trujillo Archeological City Tour
Breakfast at the hotel.
At around 10:30 a.m., we will begin the Trujillo Archaeological Tour with a guided visit to the Campo Moche museum, an introduction to the Mochica culture. From there, we will explore the Huaca del Sol, once the most important religious center of the Mochica civilization and one of the largest adobe temples of the ancient world.
The itinerary continues to the Huaca de la Luna, a complex of superimposed platforms decorated with murals and high-relief carvings that depict central figures of Mochica iconography, including the fearsome deity Ai Apaec. We will pause at 1:00 p.m. for lunch (not included). At 2:30 p.m., the excursion resumes with a visit to the Huaca Arco Iris, or Rainbow Temple, located in the district of La Esperanza. Afterwards, we will head to the Chan Chan Site Museum, which provides context for the rise of the Chimú culture. We then enter the vast citadel of Chan Chan itself, the largest adobe city in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with time to explore the renowned Tschudi Palace.
To conclude the day, we will enjoy the coastal town of Huanchaco, famous for its reed boats known as caballitos de totora, its historic pier, and its lively handicraft market. The tour will finish around 6:30 p.m., leaving the evening free to relax or continue exploring the city.

El Brujo Archeological Site | Trujillo to Chiclayo

At 10:00 a.m., we set out north of Trujillo toward the fertile Chicama Valley to visit the El Brujo Archaeological Complex. This vast site is composed of three main sectors: Huaca Prieta, Huaca Partida, and Huaca Cao Viejo. The latter gained international recognition with the discovery of the Señora de Cao, a remarkably well-preserved, tattooed mummy dating back over 1,700 years.
She is regarded as the first known female ruler of the Mochica civilization, a finding considered among the most significant in Peruvian archaeology. Today, her remains are exhibited at the on-site museum, together with exquisite Mochica textiles, ceramics, and ritual artifacts—some more than 5,000 years old—that reveal the artistry and power of this ancient culture.
Around 6:00 p.m., we transfer to the bus station for the journey to Chiclayo. Upon arrival, our representative will accompany you to your hotel for check-in.

Chiclayo - Tucume Pyramids
After breakfast, we depart for Ferreñafe to visit the Sican Museum, inaugurated in 2000 as a center for research, protection, and dissemination of discoveries related to the Sican or Lambayeque culture (750–1150 AD). Its galleries feature masterfully crafted ceramics, jewelry, precious metals, and finely woven textiles, complemented by immersive exhibits that recreate daily life in the Sican world. The collection also includes pieces linked to the celebrated discovery of the Señor de Sipán, offering unique insight into the wealth and ceremonial power of Peru’s ancient northern coast.
Following lunch, we continue to the district of Túcume, located about 40 minutes from Chiclayo, home to one of the largest concentrations of adobe pyramids in the Americas. This extraordinary archaeological complex, with origins that trace back to 2000 AD, includes towering platforms that surround a sacred mountain long regarded as a source of spiritual power and mystery. Exploring this site provides a profound sense of connection to the civilizations that once flourished here.
By late afternoon, we return to Chiclayo, where you will have the evening free to rest at the hotel.

Chiclayo - Bruning Museum - Royal Tombs | Return to Lima
In the morning, we depart southeast from Chiclayo toward the town of Sipán to visit the renowned archaeological site of Huaca Rajada. This is where the tomb of the Lord of Sipán was unearthed, revealing one of the most extraordinary finds in Peruvian archaeology. Dating to the Moche culture (200–700 AD), the burial contained exquisite ornaments fashioned in gold, silver, copper, and precious stones, together with elaborate headdresses and emblems. The discovery is considered one of the most significant of the 20th century, offering an unparalleled window into the power and artistry of this ancient civilization.
After lunch, we continue to Lambayeque to visit the Royal Tombs Museum, a strikingly designed institution built to honor the treasures of Sipán. Inside, you will find original artifacts from the Royal Cemetery of Sipán, including the Tomb of the Lord of Sipán, the Priest’s Tomb, and the Tomb of the Old Lord of Sipán, each displayed with dazzling gold ornaments that showcase the sophistication and ceremonial grandeur of the Mochica elite.
At the conclusion of the visits, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Lima. Upon arrival, our staff will greet you and accompany you to your hotel.

Modern and Colonial City Tour in Lima

Your day begins with a guided exploration of Lima’s Historic Center, where history and culture converge. The tour highlights some of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, including Parque de la Exposición, Plaza Grau, Paseo de los Héroes Navales, Plaza San Martín, the Main Square, the Government Palace, and the Cathedral of Lima. A visit to the San Francisco Convent and its famous catacombs will reveal a fascinating network of underground passageways and colonial ossuaries.
We then continue toward Miraflores for a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial pyramid that has remarkably endured Lima’s urban expansion. Returning to the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991, you’ll discover the heart of the Spanish colony established in the 16th century, which today preserves more than 600 colonial-era monuments.
The afternoon is at your leisure to further explore the city. This is the perfect opportunity to indulge in Lima’s world-renowned gastronomy — many of its acclaimed restaurants rank among the finest in the world.

Lima to Paracas | Paracas National Reserve Tour
During this day, we’ll continue down the Pacific Coast to meet our next destination, Paracas. We’ll travel along with the Pacific sea breeze on a comfortable tourist bus.
During the bus ride, the beauty of the dunes and the vineyard valleys will continue to captivate us until we finally reach Paracas town. After arriving at the hotel, we’ll continue to our next adventure!
The Paracas National Reserve awaits to be rediscovered, this spectacular location is home to over 400 species of flora and fauna. It was declared a national reserve in 1975, to preserve its diverse wildlife.
We’ll be privileged to have a guided tour through this remote location, where we'll see the Humboldt penguins, sea lions, exotic birds such as the red-footed guanay cormorants, and more.

Ballestas Islands Boat Tour | Huacachina and Nazca

In this opportunity, we’ll be able to visit another of Peru’s natural wonders on a boat trip, the Ballestas Islands, a group of different rock formations and islands located in the Paracas peninsula. They are home to the Humboldt penguins, exotic birds, and hundreds of sea lions.
Later, we’ll continue to Huacachina, the only natural oasis in South America. In this location, we’ll take a dune buggy ride that will take us through several dunes as if we were on a roller coaster! Finishing this exciting adventure, we’ll continue to the city of Nazca.

Flight Over the Nazca Lines - Arequipa
Today you’ll uncover one of the greatest mysteries of the ancient world: the Nazca Lines, extraordinary geoglyphs etched into the desert by the pre-Inca Nazca civilization. Their purpose remains unsolved to this day, adding to their allure.
During the panoramic flight, you’ll have the chance to admire the most iconic and best-preserved figures: the Monkey, the Hummingbird, the Spider, the Astronaut, and others. And after this unforgettable experience, we’ll continue on an overnight journey to Arequipa, known as the White City for its remarkable architecture built from volcanic sillar stone.

Arequipa City Tour
Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Arequipa.
After lunch, you’ll have a guided tour through Arequipa, known for being Peru's second-largest City, also known for having the most visually striking historic center. After lunch, we will go for a walk around the city of Arequipa, also known as the white city, due to the presence of the white volcanic stone, called Sillar.
Continuing the journey to the Mirador de Carmen Alto, from where it is possible to see the Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes and the city's valley; the Mirador and Plaza de Yanahuara, a model neighborhood in the city, including the list of Cultural Heritage of Humanity along with the Historic Center of Arequipa, the Bairro do Solar, an old inn or “Tambo”, known in the past as the place that welcomes travelers, from where we will continue our tour.
The Plaza de Armas is the focal point of city life and is packed with locals every night. Here we will see the daily routine and appreciate the facade of the giant Cathedral (one of the most beautiful in Peru). We continue to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, which has housed more than 400 nuns since its opening in 1579, many of whom come from the highest levels of Peruvian society.

Arequipa to Puno

After breakfast, we’ll head to Arequipa’s bus terminal to board a comfortable tourist bus bound for the city of Puno. On the way we’ll be able to glance at the towering Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes.
Upon arrival in Puno, our team will take you to the hotel where you’ll try the famous Coca tea, known for helping with any altitude sickness symptoms. After checking in at the hotel, our team will show you the nearby restaurants, exchange offices, shops, tourist attractions, and more with a city map.
Important Note: Puno is located 3,827 meters above sea level. Therefore, we highly recommend you take a few hours to get used to the altitude before exploring the city.

Lake Titicaca | Floating Islands of Uros and Taquile

Your Lake Titicaca Full-Day Tour begins at Puno’s pier, from where we’ll set sail across the world’s highest navigable lake. The first stop will take us to the Floating Islands of Uros, a remarkable group of over 100 man-made islands entirely constructed from totora reed. For centuries, this versatile plant has served as food, building material, and the very foundation of daily life for the Uros community.
We’ll then continue to Taquile Island, where the inhabitants welcome visitors with warmth and hospitality. The Taquileños are celebrated for their ancestral traditions, colorful attire, and the preservation of the Quechua language. Their textile artistry—recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—remains a living expression of Andean identity and craftsmanship.
After enjoying a traditional lunch on the island, we’ll return to Puno, where you’ll have the evening free to rest or explore the city, often called the Folkloric Capital of Peru for its vibrant cultural heritage.

Puno to Cusco via Ruta del Sol

Today we’ll set out from Puno on a comfortable tourist bus, traveling along the famous Ruta del Sol (Route of the Sun), a journey that combines history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Throughout the trip, you’ll have the chance to visit ancient pre-Inca, Inca, and colonial sites that reveal the richness of Peru’s past. Our first stop will be the Archaeological Complex of Pucará, a pre-Inca site dating between 400 and 200 BC, once an important ceremonial center of the Pucará culture.
We’ll then continue toward La Raya, the highest point of the route, offering sweeping views of the Andean peaks and valleys. At midday, we’ll stop in the town of Sicuani for a traditional lunch, before continuing to Raqchi, where we’ll visit the impressive Temple of Wiracocha, dedicated to one of the most important deities of the Inca pantheon.
The journey continues into the Southern Valley of Cusco, with a stop at Andahuaylillas, often referred to as the Andean Sistine Chapel for its stunning 16th-century baroque architecture and richly decorated interior. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire, located at 3,400 meters above sea level.
Optional Visit: In the evening, you may choose to attend a performance of traditional Andean music and dance at the Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo (6:30–8:00 pm). Entrance is included in the Tourist Ticket (BTG).

Archeological City Tour in Cusco

From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, enjoy a guided walking tour of Cusco’s Historic Center with our local guide, discovering the city’s most emblematic landmarks. (This is a complimentary service offered exclusively for Viagens Machu Picchu guests.)
In the afternoon, we begin the Archaeological City Tour, starting with Qoricancha, known as the “Golden Wall” or Temple of the Sun. Once the most important shrine dedicated to Inti, the Sun God, this temple was the spiritual heart of the Inca Empire and a key place of worship. The tour then continues to the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, renowned for its massive stone walls and for serving as the stage of Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun. We also visit Qenqo, a ceremonial site associated with mystical rituals, followed by Puka Pukara, which functioned as a military checkpoint and control post. The last stop is Tambomachay, often referred to as the “Inca Baths,” where crystalline waters still flow through canals and fountains that date back to Inca times.
Before concluding the tour, we stop at a special location where visitors can spend time with llamas and alpacas while also browsing a variety of locally crafted products. Our return to Cusco is scheduled for around 6:00 PM, and upon arrival, you may choose to be dropped off either at your hotel or at the city’s main square.
Optional Visit: The Qosqo Center of Native Arts has daily presentations of typical Andean music and dances from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We recommend you arrive 45 minutes in advance. Tickets are already included in the package.

Sacred Valley of the Incas & Aguas Calientes

Today we set out on the Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour, beginning with a stop at the Taray Lookout, where you’ll take in sweeping panoramic views of the valley and its fertile fields.
We then continue to Pisac, a picturesque town renowned for its authentic Andean traditions and its colorful artisan market. This is the perfect place to browse handicrafts, meet local artisans, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of daily life in the valley. Above the town lies the Pisac Archaeological Site, where vast agricultural terraces climb the mountainsides. The complex also preserves ceremonial areas that reveal the site’s religious and economic importance during the Inca Empire. Following the itinerary, we drive to Urubamba, a valley town surrounded by dramatic Andean peaks, where you will enjoy lunch in the heart of the Sacred Valley.
In the afternoon, we arrive at Ollantaytambo, a living example of Inca urban planning. Its narrow cobblestone streets and imposing fortress combine military, religious, and cultural functions, making it one of the valley’s most remarkable sites.
As evening approaches, we board the train to Aguas Calientes, a town nestled among lush green mountains. With its hotels, restaurants, and artisan shops, it provides the perfect setting to rest before your visit to Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Private Tour - Cusco
The long-awaited day has arrived. Early in the morning, our team will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to board the bus that winds its way up to the main entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel. The ride from Aguas Calientes takes about 30 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Once inside, your professional guide will lead you through the site, sharing the history, mysteries, and cultural significance of this Inca masterpiece. After the guided visit, you’ll have free time to explore the sanctuary at your own pace, rest, or simply absorb the atmosphere of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
At the end of the visit, we return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. At either station, our team will be waiting to transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Cusco.

Don’t worry about the entrance fees, they are all included in your Cusco Tourist Ticket!
