TRIP ITINERARY

  • day 1

    Arrival in Cusco - Transfer to the Hotel.

    Our team will be waiting at the Cusco airport to take you to the hotel. We recommend drinking the famous Coca tea, known for helping with any altitude sickness symptoms.
    After checking in at the hotel, our team will inform you about the city’s sights with a map, while also indicating restaurants, exchange offices, shops, and more.

    Important Note: Cusco is located at 3,399 meters above sea level. Therefore, we highly recommend you take a few hours to get used to the altitude before exploring the beautiful Historic Center of Cusco.

  • day 2

    Sacred Valley of the Incas & Aguas Calientes.

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    On this day, we’ll depart in the morning for the Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour. We will make our first stop to visit the Awanacancha Traditional Textile Museum, just after enjoying the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley.
    Following the itinerary, we’ll continue to visit Pisac, a small town recognized for its authentic cultural expression and the outstanding Pisac Archeological site. Later, we’ll have lunch in Urubamba, located right at the heart of the Sacred Valley.
    Finishing the tour, we’ll get to Ollantaytambo, where we’ll get to visit one of the oldest villages within the valley and its towering archeological site. After exploring the town of Ollantaytambo, We’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes, a town located in the middle of the mountains of the Peruvian jungle, surrounded by an impressive natural setting.

    Machu Picchu Private Guided Tour - Cusco.

    The wait is finally over, now it’s time to live the dream! Our team will take you from the hotel to board the bus up to Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu’s main entrance.
    Our professional guide will provide all the details about this wonder of the world, including the mysteries and fascinating facts of the Inca culture. After our time in Machu Picchu, we’ll go back to Aguas Calientes to return to the city of Cusco by train.

    ATV Tour to Maras, Moray and Salineras - Private Service.

    09:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Departure from Cusco and private transfer to Mountain View.
    We begin our journey at around 9:00 am. When you arrive at your hotel, our team will meet you and take you in a private vehicle to Mountain View’s eco-cabins. Here we start our ATV journey through Moray and the Maras.
    The ATVs are waiting for us when we arrive, so we have 30 minutes to get ready! A knowledgeable guide will accompany us on our 3- to 4-hour quad ride and provide in-depth explanations of each fascinating location along the way.
    1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Check-in at Mountain View and lunch.
    It’s time to unwind a little after seeing these mysterious sights in the Cusco area and savoring the feelings the quad trip leaves you firsthand.

    3:00 - Afternoon off at Mountain View.
    We have the afternoon available to take advantage of all the activities and scenery Mountain View has to offer after lunch when our energy has been restored. The best part is that we will be able to get up close and personal with the lovely South American camelids like llamas and alpacas! We shall be in constant communication with the energy of the Andes.

    The Mountain View Experience offers the following activities:
    • Guests have access to bicycles for exploring the area
    • Take advantage of the ofurô (hot bath) in your eco-friendly cabin to unwind
    • Painting and a picnic with cheese and wine for two hours; - Horseback riding in the Pampas de Maras for one hour
    • Rowing in the Huaypo Lagoon for two hours (2 hours, paid activity)
    • The picturesque road via Huaypo Lagoon, with views of Salineras and Moray

    Adventure and Rest in the Andes by Mountain View.

    10:00 a.m. - Check-out and free time for activities.
    Check-out is at 10:00 am. After checking out, there will still be time to participate in some additional Mountain View activities and take advantage of all the hotel has to offer; after all, this is a rare chance to immerse ourselves in the spirit of the Andes in a comfortable yet immersive environment.
    12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Private transfer and return to Cusco.
    Between 12:00 and 16:00, we will take private transportation back to the city of Cusco.

    7 Lakes of Ausangate Trek (Private Service).

    We thought that this adrenaline-packed itinerary wouldn’t be complete without the 7 Lakes of Ausangate Trek, so we couldn’t leave it behind! During this time, you’ll visit one of the most visually striking scenarios of the Peruvian Andes.
    We’ll start early in the morning, our team will pick you up from the hotel and we’ll be bound for Pacchanta. This trek will take you about 3 hours to complete on the way up but don’t worry since all that effort will be paid off with every step you take. The trail will take you through evergreen valleys and rumbling rivers surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains.
    Once we reach the first lagoon, you’ll realize that all that hard work has been totally rewarded. This region comprises several lagoons with turquoise, emerald, blue, and even pink colors, so you better get your camera ready!
    After finishing the visit to the 7 lagoons, we’ll head back to Pacchanta for a well-deserved lunch. Keep in mind that you can also get in the hot springs and just relax after this long walk. Later, we’ll head back to Cusco.

    Our team will be waiting for you at the hotel to take you to the airport 2 hours before your flight departure. This will be the last of our services.
    Quick Tip: If your flight from Cusco to Lima departs in the afternoon, we encourage you to visit some of the museums within the historic center: The Contemporary Art Museum, the Regional Museum, the Coricancha Museum, and the Popular Art Museum. Don’t worry about the entrance fees, they are all included in your Cusco Tourist Ticket!

   - Cancellations due to poor weather conditions are non-refundable, as these are factors beyond our control.

2. Is the Machu Picchu ticket refundable if my trip is canceled?
   - No, according to the latest updates from the Ministry of Culture, Machu Picchu tickets are final sales. They cannot be rescheduled, or transferred to another date or person, nor are they refundable.

3. Where can I leave my larger luggage during the trip to Machu Picchu?
   - It is recommended to bring only a small backpack to Machu Picchu, as the train operator limits baggage to 5 kg per person. Larger luggage can be safely stored in your hotel’s storage in Cusco.

4. Can I choose seats on the trains?
   - No, PeruRail assigns seats automatically, with no option for seat selection.

5. Which train is better for Machu Picchu: Expedition or Vistadome?
   - We recommend taking the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes and the Vistadome on the return. Vistadome provides panoramic windows and onboard entertainment, ideal for the daytime return journey.
